Westbridge Homes was proud to participate in the 2011 Myrtle Beach Home Show. This event was created through the Horry Georgetown Home Builders Association, and featured over 300 exhibits. Sponsors included Time Warner Cable, Santee Cooper & The Sun News, respectively.
This year, the Home Show was paired with another annual event: The Grand Strand Boat Show. A natural fit, these combined events drew over 8,000 attendants. This turnout is telling ~ homeowners are beginning to plan for new projects. Some are even considering building new homes. This is a big step away from where we were a year ago.
Fred Coyne, Westbridge Homes’ founder & principal, is optimistic.
“We’re starting to see a shift in the conversation, the language of today’s homeowners. A year ago, they weren’t talking seriously about home improvement. We all tightened our belts. Today, we’re seeing a lot of folks who are ready to plan for new homes, new improvements. We’re all excited about this new attitude.”
In addition to exhibits, a silent auction was held to benefit the Grand Strand Human Society. Auction items were donated by participating vendors. Everything from basic home goods, to home improvement materials & even gifts for pets were auctioned. This is just one of the ways the Home Builders Association showed their support for the community.
